Electrical Contact Product Standards

Electrical Contact refer to the electric contact terminal that mechanically opens, closes or accesses the electric circuits.

Standard specifications

Button Tupe Electrical Contact is a complex Electrical Contact alloying Cu or Cu-alloyed basal material with proper size and shape, and used by welding to the material for Spring or Bimetal.
It is mainly used in Governor Electrical Contact for Micro Motor which requiring microcurrent. It is used platinum-group materials of P,G,S, G.S, Au-Ni, Pd-Ru, Ag-Pd, and Pt-Ir.
It is used for the material of Plate-Type electrical contact that Ag-Cdo, Ag-W, and Ag-WC.It is relatively small sized, and there are many types with various shapes of round plate, square plate, and other special type. In case of processing method, it is welded by electrical resistance welding or Spot welding using Silver Solder.

Selection of materials

Materials and applicable load
The properties of Electrical Contact may be changed by the complex factors of material, surface condition, interval, current, contact pressure, operation number per unit time, operating environment, and the structure of component. Therefore it must be selected proper material and dimension by considering application field (load type) in designing, rated voltage, rated current, and inrush current though it is very difficult to select the Electrical Contact.

Selection of specifications

Example of a standard area of contact in accordance with current used.
  • ① : For Electric Relay and Contactor
  • ② : For Breaker
  • ③ : For Oil-filled Equipment
  • - Decrease the area when it has high contact capacity compared to normal condition
  • - Must give R toward the direction of Arc when current is over than 100A
  • - For DC current, it must be increased 20% of the above
