Types of Electrical Contact

Overview of Plate-Type Electrical Contact
Used in Electromagnetic Contractor, Heavy Duty MCCB, CCB, No Fuse Breaker, ACB, GCB, and etc.; its materials are AgCdO Group and AgSnInOx Group, Ag-W, Cu-W, Ag-WC, and others; shapes are circle, square, and other special types.

AgCdO Group (Post Oxidation)
It has good resistance to abrasion, breaking performance, Electrical Contact resistance, and stable for temperature elevation in high current area since other elements (MOx) are added to AgCdO.
Chemical components are excluded from the Brazed Ag Clad layer. If it is used by welding to the shank made by copper, brass, and iron grouped when it is mounted the Plate-group Electrical Contact, it must be made to the state of having excellent welding capacity by attaching Ag to the site of welding since this process with CdO is very difficult.
AgSnO2lnOx Group (Post Oxidation)
It is a Electrical Contact used by brazing to the substitute (Fe, Cu) of River Electrical Contact, generally. This is a material with very finely dispersed oxide particles compared to the existing AgCdO Group PlateElectrical Contact, and has good durability and particularly initial welding resistance. But, it is a little lesser performance in elevating temperature than that of AgCdO, therefore this is widely used in 80A~600A of electrical switch.

Ag-W Group
It is the one integrating the low Electrical Contact resistance and high conductivity of silver and the hardness and excellent resistance to Arc and abrasion of tungsten. Showing advantages of Arc resistance and welding resistance in high current.
Cu-W Group
It has welding resistance and Arc resistance due to its low consumability. It also shows similar features with Ag-W Group but has lesser Electrical Contact resistance and re-oxidation capacity than Ag-W Group, and used in oil.
Ag-WC Group
A Electrical Contact material composed of WC holding excellent oxidation resistance and high hardness and Ag holding the high conductivity. It has high performance in low-conductivity high current since its low change of Electrical Contact resistance and good welding resistance.
